Us patent and Trademark Office officials were invited to Shanghai to exchange the American Invention ActTime:2011-11-18 Us Patent and Trademark Office officials were invited to Shanghai At the invitation of The Law School and Intellectual Property Research Center of East China University of Science and Technology, Ms. Jasemine Choy Chambers, Deputy Director of Policy and Foreign Affairs of THE United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), visited Shanghai on October 14. He also held a lecture on the America Invents Act in East China University of Science and Technology, and had academic exchanges with teachers and students of the School of Law and intellectual property experts attending the conference. This lecture mainly involves the legislative background and purpose, reform process, characteristics of the American Invention Act, as well as the contents not covered in the Act. In addition, it also introduces the implementation of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and the procedure of applying for patents in the United States in China. Shanghai Sanhe Wanguo Intellectual Property Agency was invited to participate in this academic lecture and exchange activity. |
